Mktg - Scantily clad Ryanair airhostesses land charity calendar in trouble

Melbourne, Nov 12 (ANI): Irish airline Ryanair, known for being a low-cost airline, recently landed itself in trouble when its latest charity calendar was branded sexist.

The calendar only had pictures of scantily clad female cabin crew, which made the airhostesses look more like page three pinups than plane staff.

Although the calendar has helped raise money for homeless charity Dublin Simon Community, it is now facing a big problem from the Institute for Women in Spain.

The Institute is considering legal action, and intends to complain to Irish and EU authorities that the publication is sexist as it features only female models.

"It is significant that only women are used, in a sector in which there is a considerable percentage of men," the Courier Mail quoted them as saying in a statement. (ANI)
