Creativity thrives when appreciated! With this philosophy in mind, Kingfisher is all ready to provide a unique platform to everyone who has a brilliant idea that can be shared with the rest of the world.
Titled "Kingfisher - Ad Director" this innovative contest is an invitation to create ads around the central theme "good times" and is open to everyone. The contest has started last month and will continue for three months. Anyone who has an exciting idea that can be executed in a video format can submit the ad for world viewing.
To participate in this contest, all one has to do is create an 30 second commercial, upload it onto any video sharing site and submit the direct link for review to Kingfisherworld.com.
Alternatively, they can mail the Kingfisher team a CD/ DVD ROM with the advertisement they have created. All high quality digital formats will be accepted.
The winners will be awarded video related gadgets and a basket of Kingfisher goodies. However, the most rewarding incentive is, if the idea is creative enough, it will be crowned as the "Official Kingfisher Ad", carry the filmmakers credits, and will be showcased on various KINGFISHER channels.
The jury keeps an option for re-shoot and post-production if the grand winner's story is extremely stunning.
Speaking about this initiative, United Breweries Limited Deputy President, Mr. Shekar Ramamurthy said, "At Kingfisher, we like to encourage creativity and talent, and strongly believe, that co-creation can be established as a trend. Through this initiative, we want to reach out to the talent pool that requires a platform to showcase their skills. I am sure it will be a fun filled experience as creativity is mostly synonymous with pleasure and satisfaction, which is also in keeping with our brand promise, enjoy the good times! We are hoping to generate a great response from all, especially from people who love and identify themselves with our brand."
So all you budding creative artistes, here's an 'opportunity of a lifetime' for you and may you have a good time while you're about it!
