World - Judd,Ormond fight sex slavery

NEW YORK: Actresses Ashley Judd and Julia Ormond have teamed up to expose America's shameful underage sex trade in a new documentary titled "Call + Response".

The documentary reveals that the sex slave industry made $32 billion last year and 2.2 million children are sold into sex slavery every year. Both the actresses have spent months researching and are now speaking out in an effort to put an end to the crime, reports imdb.com.
Judd admits she was dumbfounded when she was faced with the statistics and she's now determined to make a difference.
She said: "Each and every one of us has an obligation to stop it. Human trafficking has to exist out in the open so that the demand can access the supply."
Ormond added: "We live in a world where you don't necessarily know what's going on next door. It's the fastest growing crime on the planet."
The hard-hitting documentary is scheduled for an October release
