Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will soon ink a $9 million three-year contract with the Dubai Sports City (DSC) to play one-dayers and Twenty20 matches there due to the international teams’ reluctance to tour Pakistan owing to security fears.
A senior PCB official said that claims by the previous regime in the Board, that it had signed the contract with Dubai Sports City, were not correct in the sense that the contract signing was not completed.
“There is a contract with the Dubai Sports City but no one had signed it on behalf of the PCB. But this will now be done by the new chairman Ejaz Butt,” the official said. — PTI
