DR. ANUP DHIR
Get rid of those unsightly bumps and bulges with this new procedure.
Have you always wanted to flaunt sexy backless kurtis, fitted sari blouses, body-hugging dresses, lycra tops but avoided them due to the sight of dreaded back fat rolls and lumps. You need not deny yourself anymore as a recent study published in the October issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the official journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) has revealed a new back lift procedure that removes these unsightly bumps and bulges while hiding the scar under the bra line.
Rolls of back fat and redundancy of skin are quite common after massive weight loss and sometimes occur due to other reasons such as the natural aging process. The resultant ugly bulges in the upper to midline back area are extremely frustrating as they are nearly impossible to target with popular forms of exercising. The new ground-breaking procedure offers a ray of hope to millions of women. The bra-Line Back lift is already being hyped as being the next best thing in global cosmetic surgery circles.
Safe and effective
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons says it is the best way to eliminate unsightly back fat and a safe and effective way to contour the middle and upper back. Instead of spilling out of form-fitting dresses and tops, which can create an unsightly appearance on the back, women can now have the fat sucked out, enabling them to walk tall without the fear that an extra roll of flesh will ooze from the constraints of their clothing. The incision is made where a woman’s bra or bikini top would naturally sit, concealing the secret.
Pre-operative marks are placed to outline the patient’s brassiere, as well as delineate the excess back tissue to be removed. The procedure involves removing the redundant skin, sometimes up to eight or 10 inches wide, and connecting the remaining tissue together. The procedure is invasive and takes about an hour from start to finish. The recent research and study has found minimal complications in the procedure with patients being permitted to increase their level of activity within two weeks of the surgery.
As with all new procedures that are not yet widely practiced in India, patients must be very careful in choosing the correct doctor. The surgeon must have a comprehensive understanding of how bodies change over time, the impact of environment and lifestyle and the know-how to develop the best treatment plan for the best result.
