Business - Taj opens 5th hotel in Bangalore

The Tata Group-owned, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), announced the opening of a hotel under a new brand name called ‘Vivanta’ at Whitefield, Bangalore. The hotel is slotted in the ‘upper upscale’ segment, below the Taj luxury segment and above the Gateway brand. With this, the company now has five hotels in the IT city.

The hotel is located at the entry point of the 69-acre ITPB (International Tech Park, Bangalore) which comprises office, production and retail space environment in east Bangalore.

Recently, the company had launched the “Gateway” brand and now, a new property under a different brand name has been launched. The management had already stated its commitment to the process of segmenting the hotel industry and this clearly is another move forward. The ‘upper upscale’ hotel would cater to the sophisticated and cosmopolitan customer group and has a capacity of 199 guest rooms.

“We are delighted to open this new hotel in the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Bangalore. Our growth plans envisage a critical role for this key metropolis and we look forward to making a strong impression with this unique offering” commented Raymond N Bickson, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL.

The upper upscale branding position is a new foray for the firm as Jamshed Daboo, Chief Operating Officer, Taj Premium Hotels, explained.

“Vivanta Whitefield Bangalore is high-spirited and stylish and will appeal to the agile ‘work-hard-play-hard’ hotel user. We have collaborated with this customer set and have devised a creative set of experiences which seek to surprise & delight our guests in small but meaningful ways.”

The recent Mumbai terror attacks have not only attracted world wide condemnation and left the city and the country numb and alarmed, but have also usurped a big question on the political system and security format of the nation. Unbelievable carnage of such landmarks as the Oberoi and the Taj and rampant and indiscriminate firings have left the people shocked and suspicious of our security system. Following the attacks, the security has been beefed up in the places like cinema halls, malls, hotels, and other public places. For quite some time Bangalore has been touted as one of the prime targets of terror attacks. Following the attacks in neighbouring Mumbai, the big hotels in Bangalore have tightened security measures considerably. Many Bangalore hotels are either installing their own security gadgets and risk management plans or are hiring the services of the risk management companies. Not only the five stars but even the budget hotels in Bangalore are gearing up to have an elaborate security check for security reasons.

You need to assess your age and level of comfort before you start attempting trampoline tricks.
It also helps in the eviction of toxins from the body.
The trampoline sheet is not having any elastic property but the strong spring that is placed behind the
sheet which is mainly used to support the sheet and the steel rods are highly elastic in nature and as the
result of the spring, the sheet will be moving heavily
up and down with the exertion of force on them.
