Lifestyle - Kashmir savors dry vegetables in harsh winter

Kashmir, December 28 (ANI): With the onset of winter, demand for dry vegetables has picked up in Jammu and Kashmir. Locally known as "Hokshuns" literally meaning dry vegetables, the indigenously dried and preserved vegetables, are part of the diet of general household in Kashmir valley.

Hokshuns include brinjals, gourds, turnips, spinach and even tomatoes produced locally during summers.
