After tapping both the men's and women's wear markets, fashion brand Allen Solly has now launched its kids' wear collection to take advantage of the huge growth potential in this market, a company statement said in New Delhi on Wednesday.
"The organised kids wear market, excluding school uniforms, is estimated at around Rs 20 billion and it is growing at 30 percent every year. We are aiming to play a key role in this segment too," the statement said quoting Allen Solly's chief operating officer R Satyajit.
"This collection is funky, cool, stylish, frill free and comfortable and we are hoping that the super kids will love our range," he added.
The range is divided into four different lines - Colour My World, Urban Holiday, Sports Academy and Enchanted.
"These lines revolve around the numerous occasions in a child's life and we hope that they relate to it and if they do, it will be a win-win situation for us," Satyajit explained.
Elaborating on the quality parameters and the make of these garments, Satyajit stated: "Strict quality parameters have been followed while designing these clothes. Tests for saliva and perspiration colour fastness are also done for quality measures."
"As much as 90 per cent of the range is made of 100 per cent cotton fabric that is most comfortable for kids," he added.
As a special initiative, to commemorate Children's Day, Allen Solly will also give 20 per cent discount on kid's wear collection in exchange for old clothes that will then be donated to a charity "Missionaries of Charity" founded by Mother Teresa.
This scheme will run for the period November 14-16.
The range starts at Rs.499 and goes up to Rs.1,299 and is available in sizes 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12 and 14 corresponding to the age groups.
