Entertainment - Thanks Williams for making me a big star: Winfrey

London, Dec 1 (IANS) Hugely popular talk show host Oprah Winfrey is grateful to comedian Robin Williams for making her a big star. She had recorded an interview with him early on in her career.

Contactmusic.com reports that Winfrey in her new book 'O's Big Book of Happiness' explains how Williams' exuberance for the cameras convinced her bosses that she could handle bigger jobs even though she was just 24. She describes the interview as 'five minutes of the most exhilarating, wild, off-the-charts minutes I'd ever spent in an interview with the most uninhibited, out-of-the-box, free-falling-in-every-second celebrity/human I'd ever met.'

The TV executives were so impressed that they stole her from the local TV station she was working in and hired her to co-host the show 'People are Talking'.
