MUMBAI: Following last week's terror attacks in Mumbai, the India Tourist Board is planning to launch marketing and ad campaigns in the UK with an aim to reassure visitors that the country is safe.
In an attempt to propagate the initiative, the organisation is currently in talks with the Ministry of Tourism in India and the UK tour operators.
According to the board, the campaign will be launched to promote other parts of India more than Mumbai, which is at the moment recovering from the attacks.
Currently, the board is running a press and outdoor campaign promoting tourism with the message, "Colours of India". The campaign is supposed to run until March 2009, but the tourism body is planning to withdraw the campaign.
